GOODLEIGH C of E PRIMARY SCHOOL, BARNSTAPLE

Goodleigh Grasshoppers Pre-School

Goodleigh Grasshoppers Pre School run from Goodleigh Primary School and are open on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

We also provide a lunch club which is available Monday, Wednesday and Friday where the children can enjoy a hot home cooked school dinner.
We pride ourselves at Goodleigh Grasshoppers at being able to link the children with the great outdoors and to allow children to explore their environment maximising their creativity.  Nothing fits this better with this ethos than our 'Willow Wanderers' Wednesday afternoon session which is based outside on the schools willowbank area.  We also encourage parental involvement by holding events like 'Build your own Bivouac' see photograph below.

Learning through Play is very much at the heart of Goodleigh Grasshoppers.

An understanding approach is taken to encourage children both individually and in groups to explore their personal capabilities in their physical, cognitive, social and emotional development.
