5 Jul 2006 - Tiny school raise lots of money for charity!

On the fifth of July we had a fantastic bring and buy to raise money for the Samaritans purse charity, "Water for life". There were cakes, games, name the teddy, and lots more!
from germs and bits of stones and leaves.
As you can see in the picture people go for miles and still don't get clean water.
Did you know that every fifteen seconds someone dies because they do not have clean water, but for just £40 they can buy a water filter which cleans the water for two or three years. It has lots of layers to really clean the water

Everybody had lots of fun at the sale, guitars played to start us off and overall we raised £240. The school kept some to make a new cabin, so in the end we had £160 which was enough for 4 water filters. The bring and buy and the lucky dip did very well raising about £40. It was a very successful day.
